Future Timeline of 3D Printing

3D Printing is a novelty today and not much people know about it, but we can see that the 3D printing technology will make a revolution in the future as it will be used widely in many industries.

3D printing was very expensive a few days back and its use was limited to product design, medical modeling, architectural models and industrial prototyping. This technology is very different from the traditional ink and paper method but it uses thin layers of a material to make an object. These layers are mostly melted nylon and then shaped it by the instructions. Today, there are countless items that can be made from the 3D printing technology. They can range from shoes, jewelry, accessories, hooks, pipes, household material, kitchenware, toys, decorative material and many other things. Today, this technology is widely used in different industries like Fashion, Medical and Health, Manufacturing, Industrial design, Building and Construction, Education and many such. There is a high chance that this technology will be cheaper in the future and it will be used in many other fields and will make a revolution. In addition to the failing costs, this technology has been taken off rapidly because of the lower costs of labor, fast manufacturing, can be recycled and different materials can be used.

The future timeline of 3D printing is very interesting. By the year 2014, it is expected that the prices of the 3D printers will drop drastically specially for the high end machines. This technology will change the way how the drugs and testing’s done. It is estimated that by 2018 Robots and 3D printers will take all the manufacturing jobs. It will be possible that a human liver will be printed and other human organs can be printed. Every high school in United States will have a number of 3D printers and there will be technology based classes to teach the students how to use them.
